Cleanliness is next to Godliness

I completely agree that cleanliness is next to Godliness. When my house is clean and my head is dusted of all the cobwebs, I am a better Daughter of God. But I have found that I really struggle with this issue lately. I used to be so good at keeping my house clean. I had 5 children at home, all ages, I was PTO President, Primary President, my husband was going to college and working full time. It seemed that I could get more done when I was more busy. I had a great schedule that I stuck to. Monday was laundry day, Tuesday was dust and scrub bathrooms , Wednesday was clean the floors, Thursday was laundry again and Friday was fun day. Since my children have grown up and moved out I seem to have lost the touch for keeping the house clean. I am constantly looking for some magic remedy to help me get back on track. I don't know how many house cleaning/ organizing pins I have on my housekeeping board on Pinterest. Here is a new one
I saw today:

I guess I will try this one and see if it works. Maybe it is just me that isn't working, literally.
The passing of time changes all of us. Our circumstances force us to make changes in our lives. In 2005 our oldest child was married and we had one grandchild. All of a sudden 3 of my four daughters got married in 18 months. Doug had both knees replaced in 7 months and he became Bishop. Before I knew it we had 9 grandchildren and life is a whirlwind. I love life. I am busy, I take care of my 85 year old mother and love to watch the grandchildren. I need to calm down about the house being cleaned and enjoy every minute. I just wish I could wiggle my nose like Samantha Stevens used to on Bewitched and the house, every room, closet and cubby hole would be organized, cleaned and the way I want it. I know that won't happen but if I could do it slowly I would be happy with that. Maybe I will go upstairs and tackle the pile of ironing so I can concentrate on this cleaning calendar. Tomorrow.....I think I will post about my hoarding, yikes, now that is scary.

Oh my goodness. It has been a year and a half since I have posted. I have so much to catch up on. So many things to write. I want this to become a fun blog for me to go back and read like a journal but also for a fun thing for my family and friends to read if they would like. We have recently extended our family by two, a sweet baby boy, Owen Charles Stewart born July 10th, 2013 and a delicate baby girl, Gretchen Zooley Hall born August 8th, 2013. I will post later, but I will post. I am on my way to help my daughter Laura who had Gretchen. She had a c-section and needs to run to the Dr.
